One of my entries in Australian Wood Review’s 2021 Maker of the Year Awards is the “Float Hall Table”.  This blackwood hall table was designed to give the illusion that the top floats above the two waterfall ends without any additional joinery that would distract from the simplicity of the form.

Twin abutments rebated into the underside of the top align with corresponding trenches of the end pieces in an attempt to marry functionality and minimalism.
